Two new coaches for 2010
We are all very excited to have two new coaches starting in January. Ming Lu and Xiaoqing Li both have a huge amount of experience in elite gymnastics. Those girls who are on the NSW Gold Squad will already know them.
Ming Lu was on the Chinese National Mens Team from ‘79 to ‘86, and highlights over his career include 2nd at the Montreal World Cup, ‘85 and Gold on Pommel and 4th on P-Bar at the Chinese Games in ‘87. Ming Lu then made the transition to coaching. He worked at the AIS for 5 years were he travelled extensively with the Australian team to major international events, then he did Talent ID for Gymnastics Australia for another 2 years before moving to the NSW MAG High Performance Centre in Homebush. For the last 11 years, Ming Lu has been Head Coach at NBG in Sydney, where his gymnasts have won many National Championships. He joins us, full time in January.
Xiaoqing Li competed at the highest level in China from ‘82 - ’89. During that time she won Gold on beam at the Hungary Championships in ‘86 and again at the Chinese National Championships in ‘87.
She then turned to coaching and was a Chinese National coach for 5 years including the Sydney Olympics in 2000. She then worked as Head Coach of the Bejing State team for 2 years, before moving to Australia where she worked as an Elite Coach at Westfields Sports High for 3 years, then NBG for 3 years as the WAG Elite Head Coach. Xiaoqing will also join us in January.

Childcare Benefit approval for Outside School Hours Care
We are now offering Childcare Benefit approved vacation care for 5-12 year olds who are attending Primary School (and we’ll also be offering Before and After School Care from Term 1). It’s based around our popular Holiday programs we’ve been doing for years which is a range of fun Gymnastics games and activities. The cost is $42 per day (less your CCB%) and the program runs from 7:30am to 5:30pm to cater for working Parents.
Because we are CCB approved, the enrolment process is now quite different, and we need more information from parents. You can download our OSHC (Outside School Hours Care) Parent handbook and OSHC enrolment form off our website. You can get more information from our website here, or contact admin.
