Recreational Gymnastics - Gym for Fun!

            This is a great starting place for the beginner gymnast aged 5yrs & up. Recreational gymnastics is divided into Junior and Senior Programs so that children are working at a challenging level in a program that best suits their age and ability level.

            Motivation and a sense of achievement are important in all sports, and our recreational gymnastics programs (both Junior and Senior) are based around Gymnastics Australia's “Gym Skills” system. Children will progress through the recreational program and each time a “benchmark” or skills “milestone” is reached by the gymnast, they will receive a certificate and progress to the next gym skills level to work on more challenging skills.

            These gym classes are lots of fun while improving flexibility, co-ordination, strength & confidence. Children explore the different gymnastics apparatus and equipment including beam, bars, floor, vault, trampolines, rings, P-Bars and foam pit.

            In fact, recreational gymnastics has been the starting point for most of our high level and elite competitors over the last 16 years!

            Recreational Classes are held:

  

Rec Juniors (5 - 7 years)      Monday to Friday                              3:45pm – 4:45pm

                                            Saturday                                           11:00am – 12:00pm

Rec Seniors (8 years +)       Tuesday, Thursday, Friday                4:45pm – 5:45pm

  

            Recreational classes cost $11-50 for the hour and fees are paid by the term. (please see our fees policy for more information)
