Cheerleading

            Cheerleading is a relatively new and rapidly growing area of gymnastics. Our cheerleading squads combine music, dance, acrobatics and tumbling in spectacular style. In fact, Carmel & Co cheerleaders have brought home trophies from state and national competitions in the last several years. Classes cater for first timers through to advanced cheerleaders.

            Cheerleading is a competitive team sport and squads will compete several times per year at selected events. Cheerleaders will require a cheer uniform and shoes (available at the club) in order to compete.

            Cheer squads will learn two routines for competitions – a Pom routine which is the dance and formation component, and cheer, stunts and tumbling routine involving balancing, flying and spectacular tumbling. Our cheer squads are:

 

Seahorses                              Monday 4:45pm – 5:45pm      $13-00 per class

                                                  (Beginners 5 - 10 yrs - non competitive squad)

       Dolphins                                Monday 5:30pm – 7:30pm      $21-00 per class

                                                     (Intermediate 7 - 14 yrs - competitive squad)  

Opals                                     Friday 6:15pm – 8:15pm         $21-00 per class

                                  (Intermediate to Advanced - 11 - 18 yrs - competitive squad)

     Diamonds                              Friday 6:15pm – 8:15pm        $21-00 per class

                                (High Level/ Invitation Only - 13 - 18 yrs - competitive squad)

    Group Stunt                          Monday 7:30pm - 8:30pm      $13-00 per class

                                    (Intermediate to Advanced - 12 - 18 yrs - competitive squad)
